This famous Tiger reserve is located in Rajasthan
and covers an area of nearly 400 square kilometers.
At one point of time it used to be the favorite
hunting ground of the Maharaja of Jaipur. Ranthambore
is the best place to sport the Great Indian Tiger.
In this Tiger reserve you can easily get to see
a number of other animals like the Deer, spotted
Deer, and Sambhal and hog Deer. It has diverse
flora and Sauna. Ranthambore is known for its
dense deciduous forest. It is situated between
the Aravali and the Vindhya ranges and has a rugged
terrain.
There are several lakes, ridges and valleys in
Ranthambore.

Ranthambore has a rich cultural heritage and there
are several forts, palaces and temples that one
can visit. Its prime attractions constitutes the
great Ranthambore fort which is said to be a 1000
years old overlooking the park, the Jogi Mahal
and Padam Talao Tank.

A lot of Jeep Safaris are organized to take tourist
on an excursion to the park. The best time to
Visit Ranthambore is from October to May. The
closest town is Sawai Madhopur and Ranthambore
is well connected to all major towns and cities
by road.
